21 Day Smoothie Diet Review – Scam or Legit?

Welcome to my 21 Day Smoothie Diet Review.

Today, I’ll be sharing with you all of my findings of this smoothie diet plan where I’ll include both the good and the bad, as well as my personal opinion about it and let you make up your own decision whether you want to go with this program or not.

If you were trying to lose weight and burn fat for a while, I’m sure you must have seen already plenty of different weight loss programs and products.

The fact is that most of them focus on your eating habits or workout and exercise but few of them actually even talk about healthy drinks for losing weight.

In this sense, the 21 Day Smoothie Diet is unique as its emphasiz is on this aspect. That’s why there’s a lot of buzz around this diet but my main concern is whether the program actually works or is it just a scam?

As with any of my reviews, I have done extensive research to figure this thing out.

So, let’s begin!

What is Smoothie?

Even though I’m sure that you already know what a smoothie exactly is, it never hurts refreshing our minds with veridical information.

That’s why I want to include here the definition provided by our beloved Wikipedia:

“A smoothie is a drink made from pureed raw fruit and/or vegetables, using a blender.

A smoothie often has a liquid base such as water, fruit juice, plant milk, and sometimes dairy products, such as milk, yogurt, ice cream, or cottage cheese.

Smoothies may be made using other ingredients, such as crushed ice, sweeteners (honey or sugar), herbal supplements (like spirulina), vinegar, whey powder, chocolate, nuts, or nutritional supplements, among others by personal choice”.

Can You Lose Weight and Burn Fat While On a Smoothie Diet?

Taking more fruits and vegetables is most definitely a good thing for your health but if you incorporate smoothies into your diet, will it really help you to lose weight and burn fat?

According to Healthline.com, it’s all very individual and it depends on the ingredients you decide to put into your smoothie. Some of them are higher in calories, while others are lower.

By the end of the day, all you want to do if your goal is to lose weight with the help of smoothies is to monitor the calorie content of your smoothie and make sure it fits into your daily calorie need and requirement.

Remember that the number one rule for losing weight is to expend more calories than you consume!

What is 21 Day Smoothie Diet?

Now, back to our 21 Smoothie Diet. According to its official website, this is not just another big book of smoothie recipes.

It’s an already proven 3-week weight loss and overall health improvement program the author shares with his private clients.

The Smoothie Diet was created by Drew Sgoutas who has put into it all his knowledge gained as a Health Coach and nutritionist.

I will talk about him a little bit more in the next section of this post.

Who is Drew Sgoutas?

Like I’ve already said, The Smoothie Diet was created by Drew Sgoutas.

He is also a Certified Health Coach and he decided to put together this 21-day Smoothie Diet plan to help individuals like you and me who want to lose weight in a natural and completely healthy way.

Aside from that, he is also extremely passionate about eating and cooking real foods with real ingredients.

21 Day Smoothie Diet Review - Drew Sgoutas, the Creator

This eBook contains recipes for 36 smoothies, shopping lists, and a 3-week schedule that show what type of smoothies you have to prepare every day. The author also offers a ‘detox-plan’ along with instruction and recipes for replacing 3-meals a day with delicious Smoothies for 3-days.

Drew witnesses that some of his clients have actually stated that fresh, whole fruits, in addition to mixed green shakes, supply a healthy method for diabetics to get more vegetables and fruits in their diet.

How Does the Smoothie Diet Work?

21 days is just the beginning of a lifetime of much better health and a slimmer body.

The number 1 remark I get on the Smoothie Diet Plan is that after a couple of weeks, the yearnings for sweets and junk food actually basically vanish.

This makes it extremely easy to get the weight off. In reality, many people like the smoothies so much they don’t want to provide them up after those 21 days.

21 Day Smoothie Diet Review - How Does it Work?

Drew’s clients are busy and hectic moms who work, go to school, have errands to run, kids to drop off/pick up, and many other things to do throughout the day and every day.

That’s why Drew even offers some tips on how to cut corners to shave some valuable additional minutes off your shake preparation.

The recipes are fast to make and you can either enjoy them right after you make them or take them with you. In this way, you’ll constantly have a delicious and filling meal with you.

So, during your first 3 weeks, you will prepare smoothies by adding the ingredients according to the smoothie recipe you choose from the eBook and drink 2 smoothies per day that will serve as a meal replacement.

You are free to choose what you want to eat for your third or last meal of the day, but for the best results, it’s recommended that it’s lower in calories.

There are also Flex Days when you consume only one smoothie and the rest of the day you eat whole foods as usual. It’s best used if you have a busy afternoon and know having a smoothie meal replacement is impractical.

What’s interesting is that Drew also suggests that you can easily have a cheat meal once a week, but only a few ones that are recommended in the eBook.

This is the day when there are no smoothies for you, you eat mostly whole foods, and live smoothie-free. While it’s entirely your decision, you may want to plan your cheat day around your family events or social gatherings.

21 Day Smoothie Diet contains recipes for a number of 36 smoothies. Besides that, it includes weekly grocery lists which help a lot to save time on preparing your smoothies on a daily basis.

Also, it eliminates all the guesswork for you by means of a 3-week schedule that shows what type of smoothies you have to prepare every day.

On top of that, Drew also offers a “detox-plan” combined with instruction and recipes that allow you to replace 3 meals a day with delicious Smoothies for 3-days.

The icing on the cake is a weekly wrap-up after the end of each week, which contains motivational quotes and encouraging notes.

All of the materials in the Smoothie Diet are digital and can be downloaded to any device for future reference.

What’s Inside the Smoothie Diet?

This quick start guide allows you to quickly access your daily planner, telling you which smoothies are on the menu for the day.

Additionally, the e-book also gives some low-sugar, high-fiber snacks list.

Is the Smoothie Diet Legitimate?

Simply put, I strongly believe that the Smoothie Diet isn’t a scam but a legitimate product you are going to receive into your inbox if you decide to buy it.

This eBook is structured in a way that makes it easy-to-follow and easy-to-understand.

The program offers you the reasons why you should try this smoothie diet and highlights the advantages of drinking these special smoothies.

Also, you get tips and secrets on how to prepare smoothies, options, and recommendations.

In terms of the smoothie ingredients, these vary according to their nutritional value, but the main focus is on vegetables and fruits, along with some healthy fats and protein.

Sgoutas says in his eBook that if your meal is too high in calories, the diet will not work, unfortunately, for weight loss, which is quite logical.

Smoothie Diet PROs and CONs

Things I Like About the Smoothie Diet

Safe to Use For as Long as You Want

The best part about this Smoothie Diet Plan is that you can use it for as long as you require, to lose as much weight as you want.

Drew has made it extremely basic (unlike other diet plans) to continue using everything you’ve learned in the first 3 weeks to extend the program for the next few weeks or, perhaps, months.

Money-back Guarantee

The Smoothie Diet comes with a risk-free factor which is a 60-day, 100% money-back guarantee.

This shows once again how much Drew is confident that this diet work, he is ready to return all your investment in the case you don’t like the results you get (which is unlikely).

Things I Dislike About the Smoothie Diet

Available for Online Purchase Only

The Smoothie Diet isn’t a regular book you can buy in your local store on your way home. It’s available for purchase only online on the Smoothie Diet official website.

I find this as a little downside because if for some reason you don’t have access to an internet connection, you aren’t able to buy your Smoothie Diet Plan.

On the other hand, if everything is fine with your internet connection, you’ll be able to download the eBook instantly and start using it right away!

The guides, recipes, and booklets can be accessed from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Requires a Blender With a Strong Motor

The most important thing is to have a blender with a strong motor.

While the blender you have now will probably work just fine, if you are a major about making a huge change in your health, you’ll need a more powerful, state-of-the-art blender.

High Sugar Content

Most of the recipes in the 21 Day Smoothie Diet are based on fruits. These are known to be a source of natural sugar.

There are also many smoothie recipes that include honey and other sugar substitutes, and this only adds calories to them.

So, all these smoothies are not recommended to people who have medical issues.

A more healthy option, in this case, could be a peanut butter smoothie, which is rich in proteins with no sugars.

Final Thoughts

As a lot of fitness experts say, the success of a weight loss journey relies 70% on diet and 30% on exercise.

To say that the program is just a system for preparing smoothies is really an understatement. It’s a comprehensive guide to alter your fitness, diet, and life, as a whole.

It aims to lessen the consumption of artificial sugar and boosts the loss of weight.

The system is equipped with essential things and tools that you require to achieve just that. You’ll get all the smoothie recipes, shopping lists, and other useful tools which will make your weight loss journey a no-brainer.

It’s much easier to achieve your goals when all the guesswork is eliminated and all you need to do is to follow instructions provided by a Certified Health Coach.

While the Smoothie Diet gives you plenty of smoothie recipes, but you’ll need to maintain the proportions in order to see results. It’s best to make it a habit of drinking smoothies once a day in the long term.

If you can, try to count the calories you consume on a daily basis if you can, it helps you to stay away from weight loss mistakes many people do.

Should I mention again that the 21 Day Smoothie Diet comes with 60 days money-back guarantee and it’s a completely risk-free offer.

I hope this 21 Day Smoothie Diet was helpful. If you have any questions left regarding this smoothie program or any other related issue, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment and I’ll get back to you as I have a spare minute!

Thank you for reading my blog and until next time!

Ionut

  1. Hi, I Love this article. I wish it listed the price.

I’ve done fruit juice fasts in the past and experienced results. I’m more than confident that this will yield results also.

My biggest question is that I currently work out with weights 3 times a week. Can this smoothie diet support muscle build while on the program?

Thanks so much! I look forward to your answer.

    • Hi, Jamie,

Thank you for coming by and leaving your comment.

This diet is more for losing weight than building muscle but when you are on your tough weightlifting workouts, you also need a surplus of vitamins which you can get by taking more fruits and vegetables in the form of smoothies if you wish.

      I hope this helps!

      Cheers,

  2. Wow, this was so informative! Thanks for the great info.

I’m so glad to see a program like this put together, there are so many weight loss companies that suggest unhealthy milkshake meal replacements that just look so artificial and it is worrying.

So it’s lovely to see a program like this that puts health first- interesting what you said that it may also have benefits for diabetics too.

Although I am not needing to lose any weight, I would be interested to see if on a diet like this my sugar cravings dissipated.

I also really like that he includes days for normal eating too, as I definitely agree that the body works best with balance 🙂

It sounds like he’s empowering a lot of people to be able to reach their health goals, no matter how busy their lifestyle, which is wonderful.

Thanks for bringing this product to my attention and for such a great read!

    • Hi, Natalie,

Thank you for coming by and leaving your comment, it’s very much appreciated.

I must agree with you that the market is full nowadays with so many weight loss products. But I think people are wise enough to distinguish between a good and not so good product and the emphasis should be on losing weight naturally and safely.

There is such a huge range of smoothies that you can never get bored with them. And When you aren’t bored, you’ll not crave for more.

      I hope this helps!

      Cheers,
      Ionut
